The team at Diversion Motorsports has over 20 years of road racing experience. Our experience is unique however, we have personally raced in series ranging from autocross to Trans-Am. Throughout this time we have worked solo, assisted in helping other prep shops, and sought assistance in our personal endeavors. This has resulted in a wide range of experience in which we have taken what we personally know to work well and apply it to our program. We understand that everybody has unique goals for their time on track. Whether that be a podium finish at a professional level, obtaining an SCCA license, or just making it around track safely - we have the personal experience and knowhow to help you meet your goals!
Evan Pecore - Owner
A former professional Trans Am driver, Evan has raced and coached everything from Spec Miatas, to exotic hypercars, to high-horsepower GT1 machinery, giving him a deep understanding of driver development across all levels. Before turning his lifelong passion into a full-time career, Evan served as a project manager for a large corporation - experience that now translates into structured operations, clear communication, and execution at the highest level. That blend of professional discipline and on-track expertise is what defines Diversion Motorsports approach and elevates the company and its drivers.
Tyler Bauknecht - Car Chief
With a background as a successful Mid-Am stock car driver and having grown up surrounded by motorsports, Tyler brings a passionate and successful racing background to Diversion Motorsports. Tyler Brings real driver insight and championship-level experience to every car he touches. He previously managed our Trans Am TA2 program with outstanding results and now oversees every vehicle in our shop ensuring each one is prepared, maintained, and performing at the highest level.
